This quest begins with Vladimir the Collector of Uniques at the Merchant's Guild in Magincia, Trammel. He has quite the task for you if you are up to it! It seems he has a few items he wouldn't mind parting with that someone like yourself might be interested in, of course it will be for a price! He seeks the hearts of the vampires and can supply you with the tools to get them but you must have the skill to defeat them first! WARNING!!! What can I do for you stranger?
Ahh I see *Smiles* Sure I'd be willing to part with some of my artifacts if you're willing to gather some things for me What's the risk and what are the items, you ask? Well, the risk is great but the reward is well worth it! If you accept this quest I will need you to go forth to the frozen lands of Malas and seek out Mythos, a powerful Vampire, kill him and cut out his heart with this knife. Why this knife? Because nothing else will pierce he's skin *Chuckles* Do you accept? Find Mythos in the frozen lands of Malas and carve his heart from his chest with the Ice Blade Vladimir provides you. Once you have defeated Mythos (Loot him first! See above WARNING) Double click the Ice Blade and target his corpse to carve the heart from his chest and return to Vladimir. Very well done I must say, but it is only the beginning! *Laughs* Now head to the North of Britain, there is a hollowed out area in the mountains where Celeste, another great Vampire, dwells.
Take this knife and cut out her heart as well. Why do I want their hearts? *Chuckles* That I cannot tell you as of yet. But soon. Take this knife to carve her heart from her chest. Why? boy you ask alot of questions. Well these vampires are very strong and to pierce their skin one must use their weaknesses put into blade form. Now hurry on. Oh, by the way DBL Click that piece of armor I gave you and enjoy!!! Find Celeste near the hollowed mountain area North of Britain and retrieve her heart for Vladimir as well. Good work! Ready for more? Go now to the cave on the north-eastern most part of Hythloth level 2 in the land of the golden hand. There you shall find Acheron, slay him and bring me his heart.
Vladimir hands you a knife. Vladimir is very precise with his directions as to where you can find Acheron. Off to Hythloth level 2 in the land of the golden hand! Acheron slain, his heart in your hand, return now to Vladimir for your next task. So, you are still alive!?! I heard that you were killed! Well it seems that you live and you have the heart I seek. Well done!
Go now to Blood Dungeon and seek out Zodiac and bring back to me his heart. Vladimir hands you a knife Kill Zodiac in Blood Dungeon for his heart and return it to Vladimir. Good work! My friend! Vladimir pats you on the back very well done.
Go now to Exodus Dungeon and slay Ulic Qel Drama and bring back his heart. Vladimir hands you a knife Exodus Dungeon it is! Seek out and slay Ulic Qel Drama for his heart. Your bravado amazes me and your skill surpasses all others by far.
But the toughest is yet to come. Go to Ankh Dungeon and Slay Seraphim the leader of the Sacred Six you've slain. Vladimir begins to laugh hysterically as he see the expression on your face change Yes indeed, I have in essence made you public enemy number one on the Vampires list But have no fear, once Seraphim is slain no one will dare mess with you for your power will have been obtained Ankh Dungeon is where you will find Seraphim the leader of the Sacred Six. Carve the heart from his chest and return to Vladimir in Magincia. The quest has only just begun! Yes Yes Yes!!! Screams Vladimir.
Here is the final pedicel that I have to offer but I can lead you to another who also needs your help. My niece, Verona, recently lost her love to those foul beasts and is seeking aid in getting revenge. Take this letter to her to let her know that I sent you, she stays at the Inn in Vesper Seems as though you have become quite the popular slayer of vampires! Find Verona mourning the loss of her lover in Vesper. She needs your help! I see you have the letter... So you've come to help me. As you can tell, I'm sure, I am in great mourning. Let me tell you why...
Verona looks at you with anger in her eyes as she explains what happened They killed him She cries Those damn Vampires killed my true love. If you seek revenge for me I'll reward you with a precious item crafted by Dracula himself as well as information on where to find another item of such value. Fill these Empty Vengeance Gems with the spirit of the Vampires and stack them as you slay and bring them back to me as proof of the vampires demise. I'm sure you have seen at least one or two vampires by now...go on back and kill them to avenge the death of Verona's true love and she will reward you! Fifteen vengeance gems for Verona and she thanks you! *Note: to use the vengeance gems, double click on them and target the corpse of a fallen vampire. The vengeance gems will stack, stack them neatly giving them all to Verona at one time. Verona begins to tear up as she see's you approaching
You've done it! Thank you so much for avenging my one true love. Here is your reward. As for the information you wanted. In Cove resides a scientist who has studied vampires for as long as I've lived. He also possesses an artifact of great value. Carry this Amulet with you so that he knows you are a friend. I'm sure he too could use your assistance Find the scientist in Cove, make sure to have the amulet with you in your backpack or he will not speak with you. He has some important business he needs YOU to take care of! Simeon looks up from his research giving you a slight glance as you walk through the door, only giving you his full attention when he sees that you are coming towards him
Umm mm Ohhh... What can I do for you? Ahhh I see... Well I would consider giving you my relic if you'd be willing to gather me some Vampires Blood Oh and you would want information on where you could find more of such artifacts... Hrm. Okay, take these vials and fill them with the blood of the Vampires then we shall do our trading. More vampires! Yes...this IS The Vampire Quest. Twenty vials of blood from you and another step closer to completing the quest from Simeon! Ahhh you've done it!
Here as I promised, your reward... Simeon begins to look away till he notices you aren't leaving. He stops you before you have a chance to speak Ahhh that's right the information I promised you as well. In Rock Dungeon there is a Vampire Slayer called Meiko. Take this bottle of Everclear with you as a token of friendship otherwise he won't have anything to do with you. Simeon goes back to his studies, eager to put the blood to use. Find Meiko in Rock Dungeon, maybe he will have some more useful information for you! Meiko Slams the bottle of EverClear and wipes his mouth
Hmmm... so what can I do for you? Ah... I see, I will give you this ring only if you can slay Gilles De Ray the vampire who dwells here in Rock Kill him and get me his ring and in return I'll give you this one. Meiko stumbles around a bit Wow that's some good stuff. Well get the ring and we'll trade. I will also advise you of something else you may find quite interesting! Oh! Take this! He hands you a flask of butter?! You may need to use this to get the ring from his dead swollen finger! Good Luck! Find Gilles De Ray in Rock Dungeon and use the butter on his dead swollen finger to retrieve his ring and return it to Meiko. You dive out of the way as an arrow flies past your head. As you regain composure you notice that Meiko is standing over you surprised that he missed you.
Oh, I'm so sorry I thought you were a vampire. Have you got it? My good man you got it! Here is the ring, as I promised. And as for the information I promised... there is a special trick to the ring which you now have in your possession. It's said, that if you gather together all the items created by Dracula and use the ring you will receive the keys to Dracula's inner chamber... Oh by the way the gate that leads you to the inner chamber is deep in the depths of Deceit. He hands you a wooden stake If you are out to seek Dracula you will need this! Drive it through his heart to be sure he is dead! You must be wearing the full set of Lamia armor and all of Dracula's jewelry for the ring to work! While wearing the ring, double click it and you will receive the keys to Dracula's inner chamber and The Book of the Damned. Dracula is not easy! You might need a couple of people to help kill him...only catch is, you must all have keys to his chamber in your pack in order to pass through the gate! Just a heads up in case you want to form a group and help each other through or wait for the others to finish the quest up to the point of Dracula. Of course, you will each need to kill Dracula to complete the quest but at least you have some help! When you are ready to enter Dracula's Chamber, enter the gate with the keys in your pack. This gate will take you straight to the "Safe Room" of Dracula's Chamber. Pets will NOT follow you through the gate! Either mount them or shrink them if you wish to bring them with you. If you leave Dracula's Chamber you will not be able to re-enter without doing the quest over again! (Need another set of keys!) Upon the death of Dracula (providing you can figure out HOW to kill him!) first loot his corpse and then "drive" the wooden stake through his heart to receive your final quest reward. This quest can be done as many times as you like. Each of the lead vampires have a chance to drop their special weapon. See all the potential vampire rewards this quest can yield!
