Lord KWK's Quest *

This quest begins with Lord KWK in his keep in Daventry. Lord KWK is working on a project. He is making a special kind of armor and needs some help from you.

*Lord KWK looks at you, annoyed as usual. The cranky Lord of KWK's Britannia doesn't like to be bothered. He seems intent on his work.*

What's that? Who let you in here? Damn peons! I don't have time for the likes of you. I have lands to rule and prisoners to torture. Too many things to complete to be helping a peon like you.

Hey! Wait just a minute there! I think I might have a use for you. Prove you are not a worthless pathetic peon by doing me a little favor or two. How about you take your sorry ass over to the marketplace and pay a little visit to Buffalo Bill for me. Hehe. I have been working on a little project and I need some cured leather. He is the only one I know that can do it.

While your out, I'll give you a list of the other items I need. Hehe.

And no foolin' around, come back here when you have everything! Here is a pack to put everything in, I want it all neatly! And don't return empty handed!

And don't let the door hit ye in thy arse on the way out!

Well! What are you still doing here? Get the hell outta here!

Lord KWK needs you to find Buffalo Bill the renowned leatherworker for some cured leather. He says he can be found at the marketplace.

Once you find Buffalo Bill he will need something from you in order to cure the leather.

*You walk in to witness Buffalo Bill skinning an animal with a very disturbing look of total pleasure.*

What might I help you with? Cured leather, you say? I haven't cured leather in years. The salt is not easy to get ya know.

Yeah! The salt! How else do you expect to cure hides? Well, if you can get me some rock salt, I'd be happy to help you. Where you say? The Rock Elementals of course! Only creature I know to have rock salt. I used to hunt them long ago, I was younger then ya know.

When I was about your age. Hmmm...Used to have great luck hunting them inside the mountain on the way to town.
Neat town there, only underground town I've seen....

*Buffalo Bill stops and looks up as in remembering his younger days.*

Go to the underground town to kill the rock elementals for their rock salt and return to Buffalo Bill.

*Buffalo Bill is sharpening his knives as you approach.*

Oh! Perfect! You have the salt? Nice! I just love rubbing the rough salt on lifeless skin.

*While waiting for the leather to cure, you decide to ask Buffalo Bill if he knows where you might get an ingot of power.*

Hmmm...an ingot of power you say? I have once heard of a man, an ancient blacksmith. His name is Grim Ironforge and he could make an ingot of power. Or so the legend says. I don't know if he really exists but if he does, there is only one place a smith with a name like Grim could be found, I'd say. Just think about it, Grim....where would YOU look for a blacksmith named Grim?

*Buffalo Bill rather enjoys his job, maybe a bit too much! He hands you the leather and goes back to his knives.*

Buffalo Bill doesn't really know where to find Grim Ironforge. Where do you think a blacksmith with the name of Grim might be?

Once you do find Grim he sends you on an errand. Seems as though he needs some special powder to make the ingot of power.

*Grim with deranged eyes looks to you excitedly.*

What do you need? An ingot of power eh? Hehe. Well, I'll giver my best try! Hehe.

*Grim thinks a moment and begins to smelt the ingot...he stops.*

Hmmm...I seem to have forgotten that I need powder of power to infuse in this ingot. Didn't think you would get away that easy, did ya?
Anyway, there is a man, he stays in the city of sin. His name is Roc. Quite the dealer! One of my favorites. Find him and bring me some powder. If you want this ingot.
I promise to make the ingot if you get me the powder I require. I might also be able to help you with that hammer your looking for, hehe.
*You notice Grim's lips, they are white and cracked. What kind of powder does he use anyway? You shrug it off.*

So, you need to find Roc. Grim says Roc is in the city of sin?

Roc needs money and you need powder. Looks like the two of you could make a little trade. While you are there you decide to ask Roc about the Apex Daemon and he tells you that the public library is where he would look for information. He tells you his favorite one is in Britain.

Ok, now you have the powder and need to return it to Grim if you want that ingot!

*Grim looks up impatiently as you approach*

Gimme the powder! Oh, you want to know where to get the hammer first? Fine then!
I used to have a magical hammer that crafted unbelievable armor. I lost it! Hmmm...let me think...

Last place I can remember having it...hmmm...I was out mining in the snow. I remember lots of paths and hmmm...North! Yep, I think it was North somethin' or other.
If I could just remember where I left it. Hehe, well if ya want that hammer looks like your gonna have to hunt for it.

North...Hmmm...Oh! I think I remember a starry lake...

Anyway! Gimme that powder! That's all I remember of the hammer. You find it and you can have it, I don't care much for smithing anymore. Take your ingot and leave me be!

*Grim spills the powder on to the table and carefully forms it into a line. He snorts up the powder and hands you the ingot.*

Don't forget to get Grim's Hammer, it's on Lord KWK's List. After you get the hammer you can slay the Apex Daemon for his bones. Most likely you will need a friend to help. The Apex Daemon is strong and powerful!

After you have gathered everything on Lord KWK's List you can stack it all neatly in the pack he gave you.(Double-click the pack) If you get the message that there must be something missing....check your bag for all the items, look at the list again and be sure that you have everything on the list, including the list. Once you have a full backpack you can return it to Lord KWK for your reward.

This quest can be done over and over again for a random piece of the Apex Daemon Bone Armor. The first time the quest is completed you will receive an Apex Blade and a check for 10,000 gold. Each time after that you will receive a check for 5000 gold and a piece of Apex Daemon Bone Armor from Lord KWK. Good Luck and Safe Travels!
