The Lovers

This intermediate level quest is based in Tokuno. It begins with Nakano the snow princess you can find her in the Winter Spur. She misses her lover Hiro terribly and would like for you to find him and find out if he is still in love with her.

You can see me, but can you see my lonesome heart?

Listen to my story. Several years ago, a lost traveler 'Hiro' was caught here in a storm of ice.

When I saw him, I fell in love with him...
I saved his life from the frost storm, and nursed him back to health.

As he stayed with me and healed, we loved each other through the winter... When spring came, he told me that he must finish his journey home to the volcano.

I was heartbroken to lose him. He promised me that he would love me forever. I know he has a home north west of Mount Sho in Isamu-jima Tokuno, but I am of snow and ice. He lives by fire, I cannot go there or I will melt away.

Will you find him for me? I just need to know if he still loves me..

The Snow Queen sheds an icy tear and wipes it from her face.

Go to him and take my frozen tear, He will know this is my heart.....

Find Hiro at his home near Mount Sho. Nakano says that Hiro has a home north west of Mount Sho, the volcano in Isamu-jima Tokuno.


This...This is...Nanako's tear!! How could you have it??

I know the reason why you come here. The tear tells me of my darling lovesick Nanako... I miss her too...How could I forget her?? But I've lived here by the volcano for a long time, if I were to go with you to meet her, she would melt away... How could I do that to her out of my own selfishness?? I would rather keeping her in my heart, than meet her for only a second... but how can I let her know that I still love her deeply?

I will write a letter! Yes! That's what I'll do, and you can take my letter to Nanako. Let her know I am missing her?

While I write the letter, I need you to find Nanako's Flute, it is all I have left of her, even her tear has melted away in the heat of my hands.
She gave me her flute to hold as a token of her love for me and it has been stolen from me! Her flute was stolen by an evil bake kitsune named Kyubi! The mad creature hides in the central area of the volcano. I have not the skill to defeat him.

Find Kyubi, and kill him. Bring back to me the last piece of Nanako that I can hold... I will forever be in your debt.

Hiro begins to write his letter to Nanako

Kill Kyubi and return Nanako's Flute to Hiro. Hiro says Kyubi can be found in the central area of the volcano.


After you kill Kyubi, get Nanako's Flute and return it to Hiro.

You did it! Thank you!

I regret that I cannot go with you to see my darling Nanako but take this to her.

Hiro hands you a letter of his love.

Our love is strong, she will know that I have never forgotten the love we share and that she is forever on my mind and in my heart.

Hiro has written Nanako a hot steamy love letter. Return it to Nanako and she will have a reward for you.
